      Activities

          1. Download our FREE Your Words Matter Printable Kit and print our guide on teaching your child to R.A.I.N. on their negative thoughts. This helpful free resource offers a step-by-step process to help children address their negative self-talk.

          2. Use HUMOR to help your child see things differently. Laughing helps to break up the frustration by physically altering your child’s state of mind. It can provide relief and calm in an otherwise too-intense moment. Have your child think of how their negative self-talk would be different if the voice was coming from an alien or robot. Have them act it out.

          3.  Like Piri did in this episode, have your child write down all their thoughts on a piece of paper, then either burn or rip up the piece of paper to get rid of them.
