My oldest began therapy this year for extra support thru divorce. This journal’s growth mindset inspires him to journal a little each morning. I am so grateful. I can’t protect him from all life is going to throw at him but I can give him the tools to survive and even thrive thru the hard times. Thank you!
I’m a stepmom to a wonderful little girl and I’ll tell you connecting with her while mom has been reluctant to support her in gaining more confidence in the idea that I will not be going anywhere soon and dad will always be there for her, mom seems to think that poisoning her thoughts with negativity and hate will keep her from making any type of relationship with me. Well joke is on her because I LOVE my SD and I’m no quitter.
This book has all the tools to help you get inside the mind of a child and great conversation starters. And because the “journal buddy” is involved and has to participate as well, both she will learn from me and I will learn from her! Good luck stepparents! 🥰
When I first saw this journal, I fell in love with the idea and concept and immediately bought one. My daughter has loved this journal so far! She was very excited to receive it and began writing in it right away. She has had several hardships in her young life, which has contributed to decreased confidence and increased sensitivity. I'm hoping that this journal becomes a tool to help her work through some of those issues to regain that lost confidence and move forward.
Haven’t opened yet. Christmas gift for my 9 year old.
I got this for my 8 year old who has been having some big emotions. She loves completing the pages and finds it fun and helpful for when she's feeling down.
